Inventory Control Manager

The Warehouse Inventory Control Manager  will be responsible for safeguarding the inventory, ensuring that all transactions that affect inventory are recorded properly by verification through physical inventories, analysis of daily reporting and audits as deemed necessary. Manages the Inventory Control department, including the development of individual team members and their performance. Reports to the Senior Warehouse Manager.



Additional duties may be assigned.  Management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position.

  • Develop, implement and manage proper inventory control procedures and processes to ensure inventory accuracy by working in conjunction with Shipping, receiving and returns team
  • Participates in application of root cause analysis and continuous improvements in warehouse operations
  • Completes weekly reporting of Inventory Control Metrics to upstream management
  • Research of recorded inventory adjustments and inventory shrink issues for determination of cause
  • Conducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems.
  • Supervise the daily cycle counting function and conduct causative analysis.
  • Conduct Quality Checks on incoming and returned inventory to meet defined  quality standards
  • Trains and manages the inventory control team.
  • Familiar with best practices in a variety of the distribution and inventory concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Five to Seven years Inventory Control Management experience in a distribution center
  • Four (4) + years of supervisory experience
  • Highly evolved communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written, computer). 
  •  Must be a demonstrated leader in addition to having good customer relations and organizational skills
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience a plus but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,Outlook)
  • Microsoft Dynamics A/X experience a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of and prior usage of barcode scanners – RF systems

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to outside weather conditions
The noise level in the work environment often is high; the photo studio is located next to shipping/receiving and, as such, it is possible to hear machines, loaders, trucks and the like.
