Picker/Packer Lead

Under direction of a Warehouse Manager, provides guidance, support, instruction and direction to other employees in the performance of all duties. 


Additional duties may be assigned.  Management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position.

  • Assists in the coordination of Shipping and Receiving schedules, scheduling workloads, ensuring equipment levels are safely and properly maintained.
  • Pulls and stages orders for shipment.
  • Checks the work of other team members.
  • Coaches and/or trains other team members
  • Coordinates the loading and unloading of trucks
  • Liaise with drivers, customers and warehouse personnel.
  • Follow pick lists: Revise packing slips and load status verification
  • Provides instruction, direction and guidance in the daily duties of other warehouse personnel.
  • Acts as backup to Warehouse management staff as needed
  • Interpreting company policies to workers and enforcing safety regulations.
  • Ensure/Supervise warehouse security / open and close accordingly, or as needed.
  • Pays attention to detail & appreciates the importance of inventory control.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Continuously improve warehouse operations through the use of enterprise practices. All resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Assure proper documentation of all approved “Inbound” and “Outbound” of materials
  • Perform special projects as assigned
  • Coordinate monthly Physical Inventories and Cycle Counts as requested.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Drives daily production activities of a team of employees
  • Ensure warehouse associates are properly trained and monitor staff in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safe work practices.
  • Must coordinate a team discipline of a clean & accurate paperwork to reduce possible future transaction errors.
  • Coordinate warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping with the warehouse associates on a daily basis.
  • Assist Corporate Office staff to identify requested information.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

  • High school education, ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate Order Picker forklift around warehouse, Ability to pick product up to 25 feet height.
  • Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form, including documentation, presentations, reports, and other essential business communication
  • previous warehouse leadership experience helpful
